Hello, I'm Bronson Taylor
This blog contains my thoughts on running an epic web agency.

Iconify is the only portfolio that turns creative professionals into icons (literally). Your portfolio will be a website and a downloadable app that is easily shared with others.

4 things you should know about hustle

Hustle is head-down-hard-work, and here’s four things you need to know about it:

  1. Hustle is a habit - It will feel uncomfortable until it doesn’t.
  2. Hustle is contagious - It will spread like a virus if you’re not pompous about it.
  3. Hustle is smart - working overtime isn’t necessarily hustle.
  4. Hustle is a muscle - it will get stronger via increasing the demands placed upon it.

Two Inspired Writings. One Fiction. One Not.

I’ll admit, it doesn’t take much to get my juices flowing, but I just read two unrelated writings that were simply great. The first was a short piece of fiction by Harlan Ellison called “Repent, Harlequin!” Said the Ticktockman. It takes place in a dystopia that feels eerily familiar; everything is about time management and productivity, and true life has left us. Ouch.

The second is a plea from Ryan (last name unknown to me) to his fellow nerds. It’s called Nerds, we need to have a talk. The botton line is that we are jerks to each other, and it’s time to hug it out.

These are completely different kinds of writing, and they deal with completely different subjects. But I’d read them both if I were you.

The Lost Type Co-Op is a Pay-What-You-Want Type foundry, founded by Riley Cran and Tyler Galpin.
What originally was meant to be a 24-hour adventure to distribute a single typeface, has blossomed into a full-fledged foundry, distributing fonts from designers all over the world. Users have the opportunity to pay whatever they like for a font, you can even type in ‘$0′ for a free download.

If you want to ruin a man just give him more money than he needs and more respect than he’s earned. The same goes for teams.

Varsity Bookmarking: My Job Pt.1 — I have no idea what I'm doing

How could I not reblog this? An honest entrepreneur that knows what he doesn’t know and is willing to learn. I think he’ll do fine. It doesn’t hurt that I’m a fan of Svpply. Below is an excerpt.

pieratt:

I am the CEO of Svpply, Inc., a social shopping S-Corp operating out of New York City. My company has been the recipient of over half-a-million in investor dollars, for the stated purpose of building an unknown, 3,000-member web service into a cultural phenomenon, and I truly have very little understanding of what I am doing…

Fourth variation poster. Having spent the past two months designing the typeface, I’ve somewhat come to like looking at the co–ordinate values for each character; it just shows how much detail and precision goes into creating a typeface.

It’s all in the details.

I need to ask our social media people if this is accurate. Looks about right.
